Kuntī–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda on Atithi-dharma and Crisis Strategy (Ādi Parva 149)

Dharma is often upheld through timely, practical assistance offered with discretion. Vidura’s behind-the-scenes guidance enables the Pāṇḍavas’ safe passage, illustrating ethical support that protects the righteous without seeking recognition.
After speaking to the Pāṇḍavas, a man (the boatman), acting on Vidura’s instruction, takes them in a boat and ferries them across the Gaṅgā, helping them move safely onward in their flight from danger.
