The verse highlights an ethical ideal of kṣatriya excellence: outer strength and beauty are presented as reflections of inner guṇas (virtues) and noble origin. It suggests that true radiance is not merely physical but grounded in character and the dharmic stature implied by divine lineage.
Vaiśampāyana is describing a heroic figure’s appearance and qualities—his exceptional height, lion-like physique, youthful vigor, innumerable virtues, and divine brilliance—emphasizing that he is born from Bhāskara (the Sun), which explains his extraordinary splendor.
