अधिजम्मुर्यथा वेदांस्तपसा ब्रह्मचारिण: । तथा स तपसोपेत: सर्वाण्यस्त्राण्यवाप ह,जैसे अन्य ब्रह्मचारी तपस्यापूर्वक वेदोंका ज्ञान प्राप्त करते हैं, उसी प्रकार उन्होंने तपस्यायुक्त होकर सम्पूर्ण अस्त्र-शस्त्र प्राप्त किये
Adhijagmur yathā vedāṁs tapasā brahmacāriṇaḥ | tathā sa tapasopetaḥ sarvāṇy astrāṇy avāpa ha ||
毗湿摩波衍那说道:“正如诸梵行者(brahmacārin)以苦行与自制(tapas)而得吠陀之精通,他亦以tapas为资粮,遂得一切兵器。”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Power—especially martial capability—is portrayed as legitimate when grounded in tapas (self-discipline) and the student-like ethic of brahmacarya. The verse links knowledge (Vedas) and weapon-mastery as parallel attainments earned through restraint and sustained effort.
The narrator states that the person under discussion acquired all weapons by undertaking austerities, in the same way that disciplined students gain Vedic learning through tapas. It highlights the method of attainment (discipline) rather than mere possession.
