अद्यप्रभृति मां राजन् कष्टा हृदयशोषणा: । आधयो<5भिभविष्यन्ति त्वामृते पुष्करेक्षण,कमलके समान नेत्रोंवाले महाराज! आपके बिना आजसे हृदयको सुखा देनेवाले कष्ट और मानसिक चिन्ताएँ मुझे सताती रहेंगी
adyaprabhṛti māṃ rājan kaṣṭā hṛdayaśoṣaṇāḥ | ādhayo 'bhibhaviṣyanti tvām ṛte puṣkarekṣaṇa ||
毗湿摩波耶那说:“自今日起,噫,国王!在你不在之时,那些灼心而枯槁的苦恼——忧惧与内在的煎熬——将压倒我。噫,莲华眼者!”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and human dimension of dharma: separation from a worthy, beloved protector or ruler can generate intense inner suffering. It underscores the value of supportive relationships and the emotional cost when guidance and companionship are withdrawn.
Vaiśampāyana reports a lament addressed to a king described as “lotus-eyed.” The speaker declares that from this day onward, in the king’s absence, heart-withering troubles and anxieties will dominate him—expressing grief and dependence created by impending separation.
