सुषुप्तं हृदयस्थं तु तुरीयं मूर्धनि स्थितम् जाग्रे ब्रह्मा च विष्णुश् च स्वप्ने चैव यथाक्रमात्
suṣuptaṃ hṛdayasthaṃ tu turīyaṃ mūrdhani sthitam jāgre brahmā ca viṣṇuś ca svapne caiva yathākramāt
深睡位(suṣupti)住于心中,而第四位(turīya)安立于头顶之冠。于醒觉位中,梵天(Brahmā)与毗湿奴(Viṣṇu)现前;于梦位亦复如是——各依其职分,循其次第而行。

It internalizes Linga-upāsanā: the devotee tracks consciousness from heart-centered suṣupti to crown-established turīya, treating the body as the sacred axis where the Supreme (Pati) is realized beyond changing states.
By pointing to turīya beyond waking, dream, and deep sleep, it indicates Shiva-tattva as the transcendental witness and Lord (Pati) who is not confined to Brahmā–Viṣṇu functional appearances within the lower states.
A yogic contemplation used in Pāśupata-oriented practice: observing jāgrat–svapna–suṣupti and stabilizing awareness in turīya (often correlated with ascent to the crown), supporting mantra-japa and inner Linga-dhyāna.
