parāpareti kathite naiveha paramārthataḥ ahameva jagatsarvaṃ mayyeva sakalaṃ jagat
Shiva (Pati) speaking as the Supreme Teacher within Suta’s narration
It frames Linga worship as worship of the all-pervading Pati: the Linga is not a mere symbol but the Supreme ground in whom the entire jagat is established, dissolving the idea of a separate ‘higher’ and ‘lower’ reality.
Shiva is presented as the sole, ultimate reality—immanent as the universe and transcendent as its support—so that all distinctions collapse in paramārtha (highest truth).
The yogic takeaway aligns with Pāśupata orientation: contemplative absorption (bhāvanā) on Shiva as the substratum of all experience, supporting inner Linga-dhyāna alongside external pūjā.
