मेषो वृषो ऽथ मिथुनस् तथा कर्कटकः शुभः सिंहश् च कन्या विपुला तुला वै वृश्चिकस् तथा

Transliteration

meṣo vṛṣo 'tha mithunas tathā karkaṭakaḥ śubhaḥ siṃhaś ca kanyā vipulā tulā vai vṛścikas tathā

Translation

白羊（Mesha）与金牛（Vṛṣa），继而双子（Mithuna）；同样还有吉祥的巨蟹（Karkaṭaka）；狮子（Siṃha）与广阔的处女（Kanyā）；随后天秤（Tulā），以及天蝎（Vṛścika）——这些被列为黄道诸宫，皆在主宰者Pati（湿婆）所统摄的宇宙秩序之中。
