Transliteration

vyāsena kathitaḥ pūrvaṃ śrutvā rudramukhātsvayam

Translation

往昔，毗耶娑在亲自从鲁陀罗之口聆听之后宣说此法；由此守护了湿婆教义，使之成为主宰帕提（湿婆）的直接启示，为解脱被缚之兽魂（paśu）而设。
