वंशानुवर्णनम् — सात्वतवंशः, स्यमन्तक-प्रसङ्गः, कृष्णावतारः, शिवप्रसादः (पाशुपतयोगः)

तस्यासीत् तुम्बुरुसखो विद्वान्पुत्रो नलः किल ख्यायते स सुनाम्ना तु चन्दनानकदुन्दुभिः

Transliteration

tasyāsīt tumburusakho vidvānputro nalaḥ kila khyāyate sa sunāmnā tu candanānakadundubhiḥ

Translation

他有一位睿智之子名那罗（Nala），以与图姆布鲁（Tumburu）为友而著称；又因其盛名，被称颂为“旃檀鼓”（Candanānaka-dundubhi）——其乐声回荡，如檀香芬馥之鼓鸣。
