It grounds Shaiva ritual and Vedic recitation in rishi-paramparā: the authority of Linga-pūjā and mantra-prayoga is preserved through recognized sage lineages like the Vāsiṣṭhas.
Indirectly, it points to Śiva as Pati whose Dharma is transmitted via mahātman sages; the ordered preservation of lineages reflects the cosmic order that supports the soul’s (paśu’s) movement from pāśa (bondage) toward Śiva through right tradition.
No specific pūjā-vidhi or Pāśupata-yoga technique is named; the verse emphasizes the traditional classification of rishi-branches used to authenticate Vedic-Śaiva rites and teaching lineages.
