ततो ब्राह्मणक्रमेण जलगण्डूषं दत्त्वा पूर्ववत्सव्याहृतिकां गायत्त्रीं मधुवातेतित्र्यृचं जप्त्वा ॐ रुचितं भवद्भिरिति देवब्राह्मणप्रश्रः / सुरुचितमिति तेनोक्ते ॐ शेषमन्नमिति प्रश्रः / इष्टैः सह भोजनम् / पित्रादिब्राह्मणं वामोपवीतेन ॐ तृप्ताः स्थ इति प्रश्रः / ॐ तृप्ताः स्म इति तेनोक्ते भूम्यभ्युक्षणं मण्डलचतुष्कोणं ति लविकिरणम्
tato brāhmaṇakrameṇa jalagaṇḍūṣaṃ dattvā pūrvavatsavyāhṛtikāṃ gāyattrīṃ madhuvātetitryṛcaṃ japtvā oṃ rucitaṃ bhavadbhiriti devabrāhmaṇapraśraḥ / surucitamiti tenokte oṃ śeṣamannamiti praśraḥ / iṣṭaiḥ saha bhojanam / pitrādibrāhmaṇaṃ vāmopavītena oṃ tṛptāḥ stha iti praśraḥ / oṃ tṛptāḥ sma iti tenokte bhūmyabhyukṣaṇaṃ maṇḍalacatuṣkoṇaṃ ti lavikiraṇam
随后,依礼敬婆罗门之次第,先奉上漱口之水(jala-gaṇḍūṣa),再如前诵念含诸“遍称”(vyāhṛti)的伽雅特丽(Gāyatrī),并持诵以“madhu vātā…”开头的三段Ṛk。继而向诸婆罗门(代表诸天 Deva)问曰:“唵,诸位可曾欢喜?”彼答:“甚为欢喜。”复问:“唵,余食如何处置?”于是与亲爱之人同食。至于与祖灵(Pitṛ)相应之婆罗门,须以反穿圣线(vāmopavīta)而问:“唵,诸位已满足否?”彼答:“唵,我等已满足。”遂向地洒水,划定方形/长方形之坛域,并散撒芝麻。
