Lord Vishnu (in discourse to Garuda/Vinatā-putra)
Dosha: Vata
Concept: Adapt treatment to patient and context; one substance can be applied through multiple samskāras (processing) to suit need.
Vedantic Theme: Yukti (skillful means) and moderation; bodily purification supports steadiness for dharmic living.
Application: Take five pathyā (harītakī) with jaggery for kuṣṭha, arśas, and vāta disorders; administer gudūcī as svarasa/kalka/cūrṇa/kvātha as appropriate.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.170 (harītakī, gudūcī usage; multi-form administration principles)
This verse presents Pathyā as a core rasāyana-like remedy, especially when combined with jaggery, for conditions linked to vāta imbalance, piles, and skin disorders.
It does not describe afterlife geography; instead, it preserves practical dharmic health-knowledge, implying that bodily well-being supports disciplined living and ritual capacity.
It suggests traditional dosage-forms for gudūcī (juice/paste/powder/decoction) and a classical combination (harītakī with jaggery), best applied with guidance from a qualified Ayurveda practitioner.
