This verse states that King Drupada had Draupadī and sons beginning with Dhṛṣṭadyumna, identifying them within the Pāñcāla line.
In the Ninth Canto, Śukadeva narrates royal genealogies to trace sacred history and the flow of dharma through renowned lineages connected with the Lord’s pastimes and His devotees.
It helps readers place famous devotees and dharmic figures in context, strengthening faith in the Purāṇic record and encouraging respect for dharma and sacred tradition.
