घनम् उत्सृज्य वा सूक्ष्मे सूक्ष्मम् उत्सृज्य वा घने ।

रममाणम् अपि क्षिप्तं मनो नान्यत्र चालयेत् ॥३७॥

घनम् । उत्सृज्य । वा । सूक्ष्मे । सूक्ष्मम् । उत्सृज्य । वा । घने ।

रममाणम् । अपि । क्षिप्तम् । मनः । न । अन्यत्र । चालयेत् ॥३७॥

IAST Transliteration

ghanam utsṛjya vā sūkṣme sūkṣmam utsṛjya vā ghane |

ramamāṇam api kṣiptaṃ mano nānyatra cālayet ||37||

Translation

Bỏ thô để vào tế, hoặc bỏ tế trở về thô; dù tâm bị xao động và như đang vui thích, cũng chớ để nó chạy sang nơi khác.

Academic Translation

Having abandoned the gross (object) for the subtle, or having abandoned the subtle for the gross, one should not move the mind elsewhere, even if it is distracted and (seems to be) taking delight (in something).
