प्रायोपवेशनं कृत्वा ह्युपवासपरो नरः । यस्त्यजेन्मानवः प्राणान्न स भूयोऽभिजायते

Transliteration

prāyopaveśanaṃ kṛtvā hyupavāsaparo naraḥ | yastyajenmānavaḥ prāṇānna sa bhūyo'bhijāyate

Translation

Sau khi thực hành prāyopaveśana (thệ nguyện nhịn ăn cho đến chết), chuyên tâm trong việc trai giới, nếu người ấy buông bỏ hơi thở sinh mạng, thì không còn tái sinh nữa.
