Nandikeśvara: Incarnation, Consecration, and Marriage—Description
नन्द्युवाच । तदा ब्रह्मा च विष्णुश्च सर्व्वे देवगणाश्च वै । ताभ्यां वरान्ददुः प्रीत्या सुप्रसन्नाश्शिवाज्ञया
nandyuvāca | tadā brahmā ca viṣṇuśca sarvve devagaṇāśca vai | tābhyāṃ varāndaduḥ prītyā suprasannāśśivājñayā
Nandī nói: “Bấy giờ Brahmā và Viṣṇu, cùng toàn thể chư thiên, do mệnh lệnh của Śiva mà hoan hỷ, hoàn toàn mãn nguyện, đã vui lòng ban các ân phúc cho hai vị ấy.”
Nandi
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It presents Śiva (Pati) as the supreme divine governor whose ājñā harmonizes the cosmic powers; even exalted devas become instruments of grace when aligned with Śiva’s will, indicating that true blessing flows through divine order.
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva’s sovereign agency—His explicit command (ājñā) directs the devas’ actions. In Linga worship, devotees approach Śiva as the accessible Lord who dispenses grace and also authorizes all other divine functions.
A practical takeaway is śaraṇāgati (surrender) expressed through daily Śiva-pūjā and japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating inner alignment with Śiva’s ājñā so that one becomes receptive to anugraha (grace).
