It highlights Śiva’s swift, compassionate governance of events: when dharma requires support, the Lord’s grace moves quickly through his attendants, showing that divine help reaches the sincere seeker without delay.
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva—God with attributes—who acts in time, sends attendants, and responds to devotees’ needs. Such narrative devotion supports Linga-worship by affirming that the worshipped Lord is living, responsive, and gracious.
A practical takeaway is to combine right action with remembrance of Śiva—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while undertaking one’s duty—trusting that divine support comes through appropriate means, just as Śiva sends his attendant.
