Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
The verse affirms that true realization of Shiva’s highest truth is inseparable from lived Śaiva discipline (ācāra): the teacher of Śiva-jñāna must also exemplify the conduct that purifies the soul and leads toward Shiva’s grace and liberation.
By praising the teaching of Śiva-jñāna together with Śiva-ācāra, it supports the Purāṇic emphasis that Saguna worship—especially Linga worship—must be performed with correct observances, devotion, and purity, becoming a practical doorway to the realization of Shiva’s supreme reality.
The takeaway is to pair study/teaching with Śaiva ācāra: daily Shiva-pūjā (often to the Linga), japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and disciplined conduct such as cleanliness, truthfulness, and devotion—so that knowledge becomes transformative.
