कोहिनामसपत्नोमांसमरेजेतुमर्हति ।इत्युक्त्वापरुषंवाक्यंरावणोराक्षसाधिपः ।।।।आरुरोहततश्रशीमान् प्रासादंहिमपाण्डुरम् ।बहुतालसमुत्सेधंरावणोऽथदिदृक्ष्या ।।।।
ko hi nāma sapatno māṃ samare jetum arhati |
ity uktvā paruṣaṃ vākyaṃ rāvaṇo rākṣasādhipaḥ ||6.26.04||
āruroha tataḥ śrīmān prāsādaṃ himapāṇḍuram |
bahutālasamutsedhaṃ rāvaṇo 'tha didṛkṣayā |
“Ai trên đời có thể làm địch thủ của ta, và trong chiến trận lại có thể thắng ta?” Nói lời thô bạo ấy, Rāvaṇa—chúa tể La-sát—liền bước lên lầu đài huy hoàng trắng như tuyết, cao vút như nhiều cây thốt nốt, để phóng mắt quan sát (đạo quân đang tiến đến).
