dṛṣṭvā dāśarathir laṅkāṃ citradhvajapatākinīm |

jagāma manasā sītāṃ dūyamānena cetasā ||

Thấy Laṅkā rực rỡ cờ xí muôn màu, Rāma, con vua Daśaratha, lòng đau buồn, lại hướng tâm tưởng về Sītā.
