Hanuman’s Counsel to Ravana and Ravana’s Wrath
नेयं जरयितुं शक्या सासुरैरमरैरपि।विषसंसृष्टमत्यर्थं भुक्तमन्नमिवौजसा ।।।।
neyaṃ jarayituṃ śakyā sāsurair amarair api | viṣasaṃsṛṣṭam atyarthaṃ bhuktam annam ivaujasā ||
Người nữ này không thể ‘tiêu hóa’ hay chịu đựng nổi—dẫu chư thiên cùng với các asura—như thức ăn bị trộn độc quá nặng: dầu đã ăn vào, sức lực cũng không thể hấp thu.
"Just as food mixed with venom cannot be digested by the great fire (fire of hunger), it is not possible to keep Sita even by gods and demons. (Sita is like food mixed with poison. Ravana cannot digest her with all his power.)
Unrighteous gain cannot be safely enjoyed. What is taken through adharma becomes destructive to the taker, like poison disguised as nourishment.
Hanumān intensifies his warning: Sītā’s captivity is not a ‘prize’ but a fatal burden that no power can safely bear.
