Hanuman Beholds Ravana in Court
ततस्स कर्मणा तस्य विस्मितो भीमविक्रमः।हनुमान्रोषताम्राक्षो रक्षोधिपमवैक्षत।।5.49.1।।

Bấy giờ Hánumān—bậc có uy lực đáng sợ—kinh ngạc trước sự đối đãi ấy, đôi mắt đỏ rực vì phẫn nộ, liền chăm chú nhìn chúa tể La-sát.
The highly courageous Hanuman, astonished at the action (of binding and dragging him to the court) by the demon king looked at him with eyes turned red in anger.
The verse highlights the breach of proper conduct toward a messenger; even in conflict, dharma restrains cruelty and demands measured treatment of envoys.
Hanuman, having been seized and brought toward the royal presence, reacts inwardly—astonished and angered—before looking directly at the demon-king.
Hanuman’s fearless composure and moral clarity: he does not collapse under intimidation, but assesses the king directly.
