The Token of Recognition (Chūḍāmaṇi) and the Crow Episode Recalled
वीक्षमाणस्ततस्तं वै वायसं समुदैक्षत।।5.38.27।।नखैस्सरुधिरैस्तीक्ष्णैर्मामेवाभिमुखं स्थितम्।
vīkṣamāṇas tatas taṃ vai vāyasaṃ samudaikṣata || 5.38.27 ||
nakhaiḥ sarudhirais tīkṣṇair mām evābhimukhaṃ sthitam |
Rồi nhìn quanh, Ngài trông thấy con quạ ấy đứng ngay trước mặt ta, đối diện ta, với móng vuốt sắc nhọn nhuốm máu.
'This crow was the best of birds. He was surely Indra's son who had covered a long distance with great speed and his speed was like the Wind-god's.
