The Token of Recognition (Chūḍāmaṇi) and the Crow Episode Recalled
ततस्स कपिशार्दूलस्तेन वाक्येन तोषितः।सीतामुवाच तच्छृत्वा वाक्यं वाक्यविशारदः।।5.38.1।।
tatas sa kapiśārdūlas tena vākyena toṣitaḥ |
sītām uvāca tac chrutvā vākyaṁ vākyaviśāradaḥ ||
Bấy giờ, vị hổ giữa bầy khỉ—bậc tinh thông lời nói—nghe những lời ấy, lòng hoan hỷ, liền cất tiếng thưa cùng Sītā.
Satisfied with the words of Sita, the tiger among monkeys, who was eloquent in speech said:
Dharma in communication: truthful, timely, and respectful speech is presented as a virtue enabling righteous action and trust.
After hearing Sītā’s urgent message, Hanumān prepares to reply and guide the next steps of rescue.
Hanumān’s eloquence and disciplined counsel—using speech as a tool in service of dharma.
