Sita’s Lament and Prophecy of Lanka’s Ruin
पुण्योत्सवसमुत्था च नष्टभर्त्री सराक्षसी।भविष्यति पुरी लङ्का नष्टभर्त्री यथाङ्गना।।।।
puṇyotsavasamutthā ca naṣṭabhartrī sarākṣasī |
bhaviṣyati purī laṅkā naṣṭabhartrī yathāṅganā ||
Thành Laṅkā—dẫu từng được dựng lên giữa những lễ hội cát tường—rồi sẽ trở nên không còn chồng, cùng với các nữ rākṣasī, như người phụ nữ mất đi đấng phu quân.
