पञ्चषष्टितमः सर्गः — वानराणां प्लवन-पराक्रम-निरूपणम्

न ह्यकृत्वा हरिपतेस्सन्देशं तस्य धीमतः।तत्रापि गत्वा प्राणानां पश्यामि परिरक्षणम्।।।।

na hy akṛtvā haripateḥ sandeśaṃ tasya dhīmataḥ |

tatrāpi gatvā prāṇānāṃ paśyāmi parirakṣaṇam ||

Vì nếu không hoàn thành mệnh lệnh của vị chúa tể loài khỉ đầy trí tuệ ấy, thì dù có trở về đó (Kiṣkindhā), ta cũng chẳng thấy có sự bảo toàn sinh mạng.
