ततस्तारां हरिश्रेष्ठस्सुग्रीवः प्रियदर्शनाम्।उवाच हितमव्यग्रस्त्रास सम्भ्रान्तमानसः।।।।
tatas tārāṃ hariśrēṣṭhaḥ sugrīvaḥ priyadarśanām | uvāca hitam avyagraḥ trāsasambhrāntamānasaḥ ||
Bấy giờ Sugrīva, bậc tối thắng trong loài khỉ, tâm trí rối loạn vì sợ hãi, liền nói với Tārā dung nhan khả ái những lời ngay thẳng và thiện ý.
Then Sugriva, the best of monkeys got agitated at heart out of fear. He saw the pleasing Tara and said to her these good words clearly:
Seeking wise counsel in crisis: dharma is upheld by consulting those capable of calming conflict and guiding right action.
Sugrīva, alarmed by Lakṣmaṇa’s approach, turns to Tārā for help in handling the situation.
Prudence: even when afraid, Sugrīva chooses measured speech and strategic counsel.
