The Monsoon Description and Rama’s Counsel on Timing
वर्षप्रवेगा विपुलाः पतन्तिप्रवान्ति वातास्समुदीर्णघोषाः।प्रणष्टकूलाः प्रवहन्ति शीघ्रंनद्योजलैर्विप्रतिपन्नमार्गाः।।
varṣa-pravegā vipulāḥ patanti pravānti vātāḥ samudīrṇa-ghoṣāḥ | praṇaṣṭa-kūlāḥ pravahanti śīghraṃ nadyo jalair vipratipanna-mārgāḥ ||
Những trận mưa lớn đổ xuống dữ dội; gió thổi, tiếng gầm mỗi lúc một cao. Sông ngòi vỡ bờ, cuồn cuộn chảy xiết, dòng nước đẩy chúng đổi hướng, lạc hẳn lối cũ.
