तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
स एष सुखसंस्पर्शो वाति चन्दनशीतलः।गन्धमभ्यवहन्पुण्यं श्रमापनयनोऽनिलः।।।।
sa ēṣa sukhasaṃsparśō vāti candanaśītalaḥ | gandham abhyavahan puṇyaṃ śramāpanayano ’nilaḥ ||
Chính ngọn gió này thổi đến, chạm vào êm dịu, mát như gỗ chiên-đàn; mang theo hương thơm thanh tịnh, như xua tan mọi mỏi mệt.
'The gentle touch of the breeze that blows, cool like sandalwood, full of pure fragrance, takes away the fatigue of the body.
Dharma is associated with alleviating fatigue and suffering: the image of a soothing wind becomes a model for righteous conduct—bringing relief, purity, and calm to others.
Rama describes the spring breeze—cool, fragrant, and soothing—while traveling with Lakshmana.
