Lakshmana, son of Sumitra, consoling the mighty miserable Rama, who was afflicted with sorrow, and was weeping helplessly like an orphan, drowned in great delusion, devoid of consciousness, pressed his feet and addressed him:
Dharma as seva (devoted service): Lakshmana supports the afflicted Rama physically and emotionally, helping him return to purposeful, righteous action.
Lakshmana approaches Rama, who is overwhelmed by grief, and begins consoling him.
Lakshmana’s loyalty and attentive service (bhakti and kartavya toward his elder brother).
