कालपाशपरिक्षिप्ता भवन्ति पुरुषा हि ये।कार्याकार्यं न जानन्ति ते निरस्तषडिन्द्रियाः।।।।
kālapāśaparikṣiptā bhavanti puruṣā hi ye | kāryākāryaṃ na jānanti te nirastaṣaḍindriyāḥ || 3.30.15 ||
Những kẻ bị thòng lọng của Thời Gian trói buộc thì các căn bị tiêu tán; họ chẳng còn phân biệt điều nên làm và điều không nên làm.
Those bound by the noose of death, do not know what to and what not to do, as their six senses cease to function.
Dharma requires discrimination between duty and forbidden action (kārya/akārya); the loss of such discernment is portrayed as a sign of imminent downfall.
Khara continues his angry reply, asserting that one bound by ‘Time’s noose’ loses judgment—implying Rāma is doomed.
Discernment (viveka) is foregrounded as a virtue—ironically, the narrative suggests Khara himself lacks it.
