अग्रे निर्यातुमिच्छामि पौलस्त्यानां महात्मनाम्।वधार्थं दुर्विनीतस्य रामस्य रणकोविदः।।3.22.12।।
agre niryātum icchāmi paulastyānāṃ mahātmanām | vadhārthaṃ durvinītasya rāmasya raṇakovidaḥ ||
Ta muốn xuất quân đi đầu giữa các bậc đại hồn thuộc dòng Paulastya, những người tinh thông chiến trận, để giết Rāma kẻ vô kỷ luật ấy.
O expert in warfare, I wish to lead those great warriors of Paulasthya family, to kill that immodest Rama.
The verse demonstrates how adharma can be rationalized through false labeling: calling Rāma “ill-disciplined” inverts satya (truth) and becomes a pretext for violence.
Khara declares his intention to lead his clan’s warriors to kill Rāma, initiating the escalation that leads to the Khara–Rāma battle.
Martial leadership (strategic initiative), though ethically compromised by misperception and vengeance.
