Agastya Directs Rama to Panchavati
विदितो ह्येष वृत्तान्तो मम सर्वस्तवानघ।।।।तपसश्च प्रभावेण स्नेहाद्दशरथस्य च।
vidito hy eṣa vṛttānto mama sarvas tavānagha | tapasaś ca prabhāveṇa snehād daśarathasya ca ||
Hỡi bậc vô tội, mọi sự tích về ngài ta đều đã tỏ tường—nhờ uy lực khổ hạnh của ta, và cũng do lòng thân ái đối với vua Daśaratha.
O sinless one, I have kown all these facts about you by the power of penance and love for Dasaratha.
True knowledge is joined with compassion: the sage’s insight (from tapas) is guided by loyal concern for the righteous (Daśaratha and Rāma).
Agastya explains how he already knows Rāma’s life-circumstances—both by ascetic insight and by personal regard for Daśaratha.
Agastya’s discernment and benevolence: wisdom obtained through discipline is used to counsel and support dharmic action.
