Narrator (Purāṇic narrator voice within the Uttara-bhāga narrative)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights dharmic conduct: truthful reporting of events (yathārtha) and acting with proper divine/ethical sanction, leading to harmony and auspicious outcomes.
Bhakti here is implied as reverent alignment with the Lord’s will—Somā’s pleased heart and Mahēśa’s approval indicate devotion expressed through humility, obedience, and right action.
The verse chiefly emphasizes dharmic communication (truthful, accurate narration). It is not a technical Vedāṅga passage, but it aligns with disciplined speech valued in Śikṣā and Vyākaraṇa traditions.
