Narada (narrating ritual procedure within the Tirtha-Mahatmya context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames mantra-japa at the tirtha as a formally witnessed dharmic act—performed after darśana and namaskāra—and validated by divine authority (devatās), with Śiva and the Lokapālas as cosmic witnesses.
Bhakti is expressed through embodied reverence—going to the sacred site, bowing to the deity, and then reciting the mantra—showing devotion as disciplined worship rather than mere sentiment.
It emphasizes correct ritual sequence (prayoga): tīrtha-gamana, namaskāra, then mantra-ucchāraṇa, along with the concept of pramāṇa (authoritative validation) typical of śāstric procedure.
