Śāpaprāpti (Receiving a Curse) — Mohinī Narrative
विष्णुना परेतुष्टेन नीताः स्वभवने त्रयः । सदेहाः क्षीणकर्माणोह्यंगारोऽग्निरिवाहितः ॥ ३३ ॥
viṣṇunā paretuṣṭena nītāḥ svabhavane trayaḥ | sadehāḥ kṣīṇakarmāṇohyaṃgāro'gnirivāhitaḥ || 33 ||
Bấy giờ, Viṣṇu vô cùng hoan hỷ, dẫn cả ba người về chính cõi của Ngài—vẫn còn thân xác, nghiệp đã tận—như hòn than hồng được mang vào lửa.
Suta (narrating the Narada Purana dialogue tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It presents Viṣṇu’s grace as the decisive cause of liberation: when karma is fully exhausted and devotion has matured, the devotee is led to Viṣṇu’s own abode—even while still embodied.
Bhakti culminates in making Viṣṇu “exceedingly pleased” (paretuṣṭa). That divine satisfaction results in direct divine guidance (nītāḥ) to His realm, showing liberation as a personal bestowal of the Lord rather than merely a mechanical outcome.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is doctrinal—karma-kṣaya (exhaustion of deeds) and the fruit of Viṣṇu-bhakti in the tirtha-mahātmya narrative.
