Śāpaprāpti (Receiving a Curse) — Mohinī Narrative
Suta (narrating the Purāṇic account; describing Lord Viṣṇu/Madhusūdana’s act within the story)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights the Lord’s role as the upholder of dharma: acting without personal attachment, He applies a decisive “test” to establish truth and spiritual purity, teaching that divine justice is impartial and purifying.
By naming Madhusūdana, the verse frames the event as a līlā of Viṣṇu where devotees learn surrender: Bhakti matures when one trusts the Lord’s testing and remains steady even when outcomes are decided beyond sentimental attachment.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is directly taught; the practical takeaway is dharma-nīti—discernment and testing (nikaṣa) to separate genuine virtue from mere appearance.
