Adhyaya 89The Wrath of Shumbha and Nishumbha and the Fall of Nishumbha

ततः परशुहस्तं तमायान्त दैत्यपुङ्गवम् ।

आहत्य देवी बाणौघैरपातयत भूतले ॥

tataḥ paraśu-hastaṃ tam āyānta daitya-puṅgavam |

āhatya devī bāṇaughair apātayat bhūtale ||

Rồi khi vị Daitya bậc nhất ấy tiến đến, tay cầm rìu, Nữ Thần liền bắn xuống những trận mưa tên dồn dập và quật hắn ngã xuống mặt đất.
