Adhyaya 75 — The Fall and Restoration of Revatī Nakṣatra and the Birth of Raivata Manu
इति श्रीमार्कण्डेयपुराणेऽथ तामसमन्वन्तरे चतुःसप्ततितमोऽध्यायः ।
पञ्चसप्ततितमोऽध्यायः—
मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
पञ्चमोऽपि मनुर्ब्रह्मन् रैवतो नाम विश्रुतः ।
तस्योत्पत्तिं विस्तरशः शृणुष्व कथयामि ते ॥
iti śrīmārkaṇḍeyapurāṇe 'tha tāmasa-manvantare catuḥ-saptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ | pañca-saptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ— mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | pañcamo 'pi manur brahman raivato nāma viśrutaḥ | tasyotpattiṃ vistaraśaḥ śṛṇuṣva kathayāmi te ||
Tại đây kết thúc chương thứ bảy mươi bốn của Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya Purāṇa, thuộc Tāmasa Manvantara. Nay bắt đầu chương thứ bảy mươi lăm. Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Hỡi brāhmaṇa, vị Manu thứ năm nổi danh với tên Raivata. Hãy nghe tường tận nguồn gốc của ngài; ta sẽ thuật lại cho ông.”
