Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
जड उवाच एवमुक्त्वा स नागेन्द्रः प्लक्षावतरणं गिरेः ।
तीर्थं हिमवतो गत्वा तपस्तेपे सुदुश्चरम् ॥
jaḍa uvāca evam uktvā sa nāgendraḥ plakṣāvataraṇaṁ gireḥ | tīrthaṁ himavato gatvā tapas tepe suduścaram ||
Jaḍa nói: Nói như vậy xong, vị chúa tể của loài Nāga ấy đi đến bến tắm thiêng trên núi Himavat, gọi là Plakṣāvataraṇa, rồi thực hành khổ hạnh vô cùng khó chịu đựng.

Purāṇic practice links inner discipline with sacred space: tīrthas are presented as accelerants for sādhana when approached with sincerity and restraint.
Not pañcalakṣaṇa; it is tīrtha and tapas narrative within Ākhyāna.
Mountain-tīrthas symbolize ascent of consciousness; ‘crossing’ (avataraṇa) hints at a transition from ordinary life to liminal, transformative practice.
