Adhyaya 21 — Kuvalayashva’s Descent to Patala and the Rescue of Madalasa
मर्त्यलोकमनुप्राप्तं य एनं छेत्स्यते शरैः ।
स ते भर्ता महाभागे अचिरेण भविष्यति ॥
martyalokam anuprāptaṃ ya enaṃ chetsyate śaraiḥ / sa te bhartā mahābhāge acireṇa bhaviṣyati
“Người nào, khi đến cõi người, sẽ dùng tên bắn hạ hắn—hỡi bậc đại phúc—người ấy chẳng bao lâu sẽ trở thành phu quân của nàng.”

Protection (rakṣaṇa) is framed as rightful strength aligned with destiny: the one who restores dharma by defeating violence becomes fit to assume the social role of husband/protector.
Ākhyāna with a future-oriented hinge; it sets up ensuing vaṃśānucarita-style events (the rise of a hero and outcome).
‘Arrows’ can symbolize focused discrimination (viveka) that pierces delusion; the ‘husband’ symbolizes the stabilizing principle that reorders the psyche after chaos.
