uttarā ca kumārībhiḥ bahvībhiḥ parivāritā | śṛṅgāraveṣābharaṇā pratyudyātu sutaṃ mama ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Và công chúa Uttarā, được nhiều thiếu nữ vây quanh, khoác y phục lễ hội và trang sức lộng lẫy, hãy ra đón chào con trai ta.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच

A formal reception is being arranged: Princess Uttarā, accompanied by many maidens and dressed in ornaments and festive attire, is instructed to go out to greet “my son,” indicating an honored arrival and the etiquette of welcoming him.
