Droṇa–Pārtha Strategic Engagement
ददृशुस्ते ध्वजाग्रं वै शुश्रुवुश्ष महास्वनम् । दोधूयमानस्य भृशं गाण्डीवस्थ च निः:स्वनम्
dadṛśus te dhvajāgraṃ vai śuśruvuś ca mahāsvanam | dodhūyamānasya bhṛśaṃ gāṇḍīvasya ca niḥsvanam ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Họ thấy đỉnh cờ cao vút và nghe tiếng gầm vang dữ dội—cùng với tiếng bật dây sắc gọn, vang rền của cung Gāṇḍīva khi được rung lên mạnh mẽ. Cảnh tượng và âm thanh ấy báo hiệu sự xuất hiện của một chiến binh đáng gờm, khiến chiến địa chấn động bởi sự chắc chắn của cuộc giao tranh sắp tới.
