Bhīṣma–Arjuna Encounter Framed Cosmically
सर्वे संहत्य युध्याम: पाकशासनिमागतम्
sarve saṁhatya yudhyāmaḥ pākaśāsanam āgatam | brahmāstraṁ caiva vedāś ca—ete dve vastūnīha naḥ ācāryebhyo ’nyatra na kvacid dṛśyete | ācāryaputra kṣamyatām; nāyaṁ kālo ’nyonyabhedakaraṇasya | vayaṁ sarve militaivātra āgatena arjunena saha yotsyāmaḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hãy cùng nhau hợp lực mà giao chiến với người đã đến đây như Pākaśāsana (Indra). Brahmāstra và các Veda—hai bảo vật ấy không thấy ở đâu ngoài nhờ các bậc thầy của chúng ta. Hỡi con của đạo sư, xin thứ lỗi cho lời này: đây không phải lúc gây chia rẽ. Tất cả chúng ta, cùng nhau, sẽ đánh Arjuna đã đến nơi này.”
