इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत विराटपर्वके अन्तर्गत योहरणपर्वमें उत्तर दिशाकी ओरसे गौओंके अपहरणके प्रसंगमें ब॒हन्नलाका सारथ्यकथनसम्बन्धी छत्तीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate virāṭaparvaṇi antargate goharaṇaparvaṇi uttara-diśāyāḥ orase gāvām apaharaṇa-prasaṅge bṛhannalāyāḥ sārathyakathana-sambandhī ṣaṭtriṁśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ

Translation

Như vậy, trong Śrī Mahābhārata, thuộc Virāṭa Parva, trong thiên Goharaṇa về việc đàn bò bị lùa đi từ phía bắc và chuyện Bṛhannalā làm người đánh xe, chương thứ ba mươi sáu đã kết thúc. Lời kết đặt toàn bộ sự việc như một phép thử về bổn phận và dũng khí: trước sự xâm lấn và trộm đoạt, việc bảo hộ tài sản của vương quốc (đàn bò) cho đúng lẽ và phong thái của hàng chiến sĩ được nêu bật; còn tài nghệ điều xa của Bṛhannalā trở thành phương tiện quyết định để dharma được thực thi bằng hành động.
