Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
तलाभ्यां स तु भीमेन वक्षस्यभिहतो बली । कीचको रोषसंतप्त: पदान्न चलित: पदम्,इतनेमें ही भीमने दोनों हथेलियोंसे कीचककी छातीपर प्रहार किया। चोट खाकर बलवान् कीचक क्रोधसे जल उठा, किंतु अपने स्थानसे एक पग भी विचलित नहीं हुआ
talābhyāṃ sa tu bhīmena vakṣasy abhihato balī | kīcako roṣa-saṃtaptaḥ padān na calitaḥ padam ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Bấy giờ, Kīcaka hùng mạnh bị Bhīma dùng cả hai bàn tay mở đánh thẳng vào ngực. Dẫu đòn đã trúng, Kīcaka bừng bừng phẫn nộ; nhưng hắn không hề xê dịch dù chỉ một bước khỏi chỗ đứng—phô bày niềm kiêu hãnh về sức lực và sự ngạo mạn đang dâng cao, sớm chuốc lấy báo ứng.
