Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 13 — Kīcaka’s Proposition and Draupadī’s Dharmic Refusal
बबन्ध कक्षां कौन्तेयस्तत: संहर्षयन् जनम् । ततस्तु वृत्रसंकाशं भीमो मल्लं समाह्दयत्
babandha kakṣāṃ kaunteyas tataḥ saṃharṣayan janam | tatastu vṛtrasaṃkāśaṃ bhīmo mallaṃ samāhvayat ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Bấy giờ, người con của Kuntī siết chặt đai đô vật, làm đám đông rộn ràng phấn khích. Rồi Bhīma cất tiếng thách đấu một đô vật trông như Vṛtra—một cuộc gặp không chỉ là trò thi đấu, mà là phép thử công khai về sức mạnh, ý chí và sự tự chế trong khuôn phép của võ đài.
