ततः स भगवान् विष्णुस्तं वै बाणं मुमोच ह । शुष्काशनिसमाकीर्ण महोल्काभि श्ष भारत,तदनन्तर भगवान् विष्णुरूप श्रीरामचन्द्रजीने उस बाणको छोड़ा। भारत! उस समय सारी पृथ्वी बिना बादलकी बिजली और बड़ी-बड़ी उल्काओंसे व्याप्त-सी हो उठी। बड़े जोरकी आँधी उठी और सब ओर धूलकी वर्षा होने लगी। फिर मेघोंकी घटा घिर आयी और भूतलपर मूसलाधार वर्षा होने लगी। बार-बार भूकम्प होने लगा। मेघगर्जन तथा अन्य भयानक उत्पातसूचक शब्द गूँजने लगे
tataḥ sa bhagavān viṣṇus taṃ vai bāṇaṃ mumoca ha | śuṣkāśani-samākīrṇaṃ maholkābhiḥ, bhārata ||
Bấy giờ Đấng Thế Tôn Viṣṇu phóng mũi tên ấy. Hỡi Bhārata, ngay lúc đó mặt đất như tràn ngập những tia chớp không mây và những thiên thạch lớn—điềm báo của uy lực thần linh áp đảo. Cảnh tượng cho thấy: khi một sức mạnh mang tầm thần thánh được khởi động, chính thiên nhiên cũng đáp lại bằng những dấu hiệu kinh hoàng, nhấn mạnh sự hệ trọng của hành động và hệ quả đạo đức của nó.
