Educational Q&A

The verse frames sacred history as moral instruction: a king should listen attentively to exemplary lives (Rāma and Bhārgava/Paraśurāma), since narratives of righteous lineage and conduct function as guidance for dharma and kingship.

Lomaśa begins a new episode addressed to the king, introducing that he will recount the story of Rāma and the wise Bhārgava; he states the basic genealogical fact that Rāma was born as the son of the great-souled king Daśaratha.
