Educational Q&A

Good conduct (vṛtta) earns trust and approval, and important family decisions—especially about progeny—should be approached with deliberation (vicāra) and respectful counsel.

Agastya addresses a virtuous woman, expresses satisfaction with her exemplary behavior, and introduces that he will now speak about a carefully considered plan concerning offspring.
